Wm Guerin Limoges Tea Set - Hand Painted Roses & Gold Gilt Trim. This elegant antique porcelain set includes a tall rectangular teapot, creamer, and lidded sugar bowl, each delicately adorned with hand-painted pink roses, scrolling gilt accents, and soft leafy sprays. The design is a beautiful representation of late 19th to early 20th century Limoges artistry, marked on the base with Wm Guerin & Co and a special retailer stamp for R. Allen Son & Co of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Each piece features gently worn but intact gold detailing and a white ground with fine transfer and overpaint floral work. The form is subtly squared with ornate handles and a scalloped finial, making this an exquisite display set as well as functional serviceware for light tea.
