This handsome, modernist teapot, designed by Wilhelm Wagenfeld in 1958, is made of borosilicate glass developed by Schott Glass of Jena, Germany. In an effort to rebound after WWII, they released a line of their heat resistant glass for home use, to appeal to post war modernist tastes. This gorgeous pot would be a perfect addition to your mid century modern decor, lending it's clean minimalist lines in an understated elegance that can't be denied. The teapot stands 5" tall, the body is 6" wide, and it measures 10 1/2 from spout to handle. It is in excellent condition, the glass being true and clear, with no chips or cracks.
