Antiques, Fine Art & Collectibles. Vintage 7 Piece Tea Set Peter Saenger Black Biomorphic Ceramic Signed Star Trek. DESCRIPTION Vintage set of black ceramic pottery designed by Peter Saenger. Often mis categorized as Stenger pottery this satin matte glazed set consists of 7 pieces, a tea pot, lid, 4 cups and a tray.
This particular set is titled "Design set II" and is often referred to as "Captain Picards Tea Set" due to it being used by him on Star Trek. The most appealing part of this tea set is that not only is it modern and organic in shape but also uses negative space to great applaud. This set was recently acquired directly from the prop house that supplied production company with these sets and is marked with their own individual merchandise code number under each piece.
This would make a great early holiday gift or as a house warming gift. MEASUREMENTS Set measures 7" tall by 8.5" wide by 10.25 deep weighs 6lb 10oz. CONDITION In good condition, ready to use and display with wear commensurate with age and some light scuffs to the matte finish throughout (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
