Being offered is a vintage fabulously ornate and heavily silver plated 5 piece tea set in the Renaissance #6000 pattern made by Reed & Barton. This set was the top of the line in Reed & Barton plated sets. It includes the coffee pot, teapot, creamer, covered sugar bowl and matching tray.
It features all over applied designs of fruit, flowers and leafy scrolls. The coffee pot, creamer and sugar bowl have the V symbol on the bottom which dates to 1942.
The teapot has the drum symbol which dates to 1950. All four pieces were found together but perhaps, as this set was very expensive the owners had to wait to add the teapot.
The tray has the A in a semi circle which dates to 1945 and was acquired separately from the 4 piece set. Condition and size: Coffee pot: 8 1/2 to top of spout. One very tiny pinpoint mark on back of pot No plating wear, bright and shiny, inside is super clean.
