RAREST GOTHIC REVIVAL OLD PARIS PORCELAIN TÊTE à TÊTE TEAPOT SET, CUPS c. 1820-40

  
This is probably some of the finest porcelain painting I have seen, and even rarer still, in this gothic taste decoration. The pieces are all unmarked but display the fine quality decoration associated with the early 19th century Paris the House of Rihouet, or similar luxury porcelain sellers of the day on the Rue de la Paix.

Note the delicate cathedral widow tracery, the shading, and delicate Marie Antoinette'pearls' in green around the borders. All pieces have flat faceted sides and retain most of their rich gilding, with some minor wear around the highest relief and usage areas.

Teapot & sugar pot retina their original lids with gilded anthemion finials. Condition: The paint decoration throughout is exceptional. The pair of teacups & saucers and sugar pot have no cracks or chips, however the teapot has a small chip on the spout and a few chips around the top opening rim (see photos). Some wear to gilding commensurate with age & use. See photos as part of description. Teapot with lid - 6.5" long handle to spout x 3" wide x 5.5 high. Sugar pot with cover - 5" long x 2.75" wide x 5.25 high. 2 teacups - 3 dia.
