Exquisite Decorative Tea Set w/11 7/8 TRAY, TEAPOT w/Lid, CREAMER, SUGAR w/Lid, 2 DEMITASSE CUPS & SAUCERS. DESCRIPTION: This beautiful tea set consisting of a teapot, creamer, sugar w/lid, round tray and 2 demitasse cups & saucers was produced in a beautiful pattern of flowers with green leaves and warm yellow scrollwork. This is on a dainty light yellow background. The handles, rims, feet and spouts have gold trim as do the saucers. The design looks so classic.
The verges are trimmed with a green scrollwork circle while the saucer's center is the high white of the porcelain. This is truly a complete tea set in beautiful condition and perfect for a lovely tea for 2. CONDITION: While this tea set is classified as used, the condition is superb. There are no chips, nicks, cracks, rubbings, scratches or hairlines. There are no utensil marks on the center part of the tray or saucers.
The no wear to the gold or paint. DIMENSIONS: The demitasse teapot handle to spout measures 7 1/4" with a diameter of 3 1/2". The height to the top of its lid is 6 7/8 with a capacity of 20 ounces. Its base diameter is 3. The sugar bowl handle to handle measures 5 1/4" with a diameter of 3 1/4".
The height to the top of its lid is 4 1/4 with a capacity of 8 ounces. The creamer handle to spout measures 3 7/8" with a diameter of 2 3/4" and a capacity of 5 ounces. The demitasse cups have a diameter of 2" and a height of 2 1/2" with a capacity of 2 ounces. The saucers have a diameter of 4 3/8" and a height of 5/8". The tray has a diameter of 11 7/8" and a height of 1/2".Formed the trading and decorating company in 1876 which evolved into Noritake. Noritake Company has a rich history of producing porcelain china all the way from January 1, 1904 when the Nippon Toki Kaisha Ltd - the forerunner to the present Noritake Company - was formed in the village of Noritake, a small suburb near Nagoya, Japan with its huge kaolin clay sources.
