CHINESE EXPORT SILVER DRAGON KETTLE & STAND c1890 SIGNED - 39 OUNCES This is a beautifully hand crafted late 19th century Chinese export silver dragon tea kettle on matching stand with original burner. From the well listed shop of Hung Chong, working in both Canton & Shanghai.
Known primarily for floral decorated silver wares, far less for dragon theme tea wares such as this. This c1890 Chinese export silver dragon tea kettle on. Matching stand is 13 1/2 inches tall. And the complete set weighs 39 standard ounces. Hallmarked as shown HungChong & series of characters.
Likely for the actual silversmith, or town. In very, very fine condition. Tea kettle interior clean as if little or never used. Retains original hand carved detail.Handle secure & cover closes flush.
