DESCRIPTION: This is a beautiful 15 piece coffee/tea set by the Italian art pottery company Deruta, made for the Buitoni company of New York. The pieces feature beautiful hand-painted floral designs in shades of blue and orange on a white background, blue-green handles, and yellow and orange rims, lids and spouts. Pieces have pedestal bottoms and are marked "For Buitoni New York" and "Deruta Italy" on the undersides. In this lot you will receive: 1 tall teapot (8-1/2" in height including lid, 7" in width including handle and spout, 2-3/4" in top diameter without spout or handle, 3-1/4" in pedestal base diameter). Teapot has some inner crazing; lid has a chip on its outer lower rim.

1 covered sugar (3-3/4" in height including lid, 5-1/4" in width including handles, 2-3/4" in top diameter without handles, 2-1/2" in pedestal base diameter). No chips or cracks noted. 1 creamer (4" in height, 4-1/2" in width including handle and spout, 2-3/8 in pedestal base diameter). 6 teacups (2-3/8" in height, 4" in width including handle, 3" in top diameter without handle, 1-3/8" in pedestal base diameter).

Cups have mild discoloration/tea staining to the inside, but no damage noted. Any imperfections are from the manufacturing process. 6 saucers (appx 5-1/4" in diameter, 7/8" in height, 3-1/8 in pedestal base diameter).

Some discoloration and loss of finish may be present in small amounts, but no damage noted. CONDITION: Set is offered in very-good, as-found vintage condition, with possible wear and patina commensurate with age. Teapot has a chip on its lid.
