20 Piece Artist Signed Rosenthal Hand Painted Cake Tea Set Butterfly Gilt Trim

  

Wonderfully hand painted Rosenthal dessert or cake set features a multitude of different butterflies, flowers, insects, and very ornate gilt trim. The set includes a teapot with lid measuring 7" tall, 4 1/2" in diameter, and 8 3/4" from handle to spout, a creamer measuring 4 1/2" tall and 5 1/4" from handle to spout, a covered sugar bowl measuring 4 1/2" tall and 5 1/2" from handle to handle, an 8 1/2" serving plate, 6 6 3/4 dessert/cake plates, and 5 footed cups and saucers. Condition is excellent with just a couple of minor blemishes.

There's a gilt over rim chip on one of the cups, a small fleck off the spout of the teapot, a small gilt over chip to the bottom edge of the sugar cover, one of the flowers on the bottom of the teacups is missing, and some gilt wear to a couple of the cake plates. All of the minor damage should be visible in photos. The majority of the pieces have a Rosenthal mark, the teapot, creamer, and sugar have no mark, and a couple of the pieces have marks by other Bavarian makers.
