Vintage 14 Pcs. H&C Schlaggenwald PA Arzberg Tea Pot Set Czechoslovakia Bavaria
This is a Vintage 14 Piece Porcelain Tea Set that is hand painted with gold bands and long tailed green birds. It consists of a creamer, sugar bowl with lid, 4 cups, 4 saucers, serving tray, and teapot with lid. The teapot measures 8.5 inches high with the lid, by 8.5 inches long from spout to handle. It holds 4 cups, 32 ounces.
The creamer measures 3 7/8 inches high. The sugar bowl is 4.25 inches high with the lid. The cups measure 2 7/8 inches high by 3.5 inches in diameter.The saucers measure 5.5 inches in diameter. The tray measures 11 inches long by 5.25 inches wide, by 1 3/8 inches high. The pieces are marked from various manufacturers and countries, but are signed that they are hand decorated by Beth. So the blanks originated at different potteries.
Backstamps include "HCS Czechoslovakia", "H& C Schlaggenwald Czechoslovakia" (Haas & Czjzek), "PA Arzberg Bavaria", "D&B Germany", "Czechoslovakia", and "Germany". The tray, 4 saucers, 3 cups, and the teapot are all hand signed Beth. Very good condition free from chips. The bottom of one of the saucers has a couple of glaze cracks. There is light wear to the gold gilding. Packages can not be declared "lost" until after 7 weeks have passed.
