Tlaquepaque Mexican Petatillo Pottery Tea Set Complete Teapot Sugar Cream C/S+. Seldom Seen Petatillo Pattern, Tlaquepaque, Tonala, Jalisco, Mexico, Eighteen Pieces Set. A Complete Set is Super Rare and almost never found, especially with all of the Pieces in Excellent Condition!! From the mid-1960s, the Set is Decorated with Rabbits, Fantasy Birds, Florals, and the Well-Known Petatillo Crosshatching, all done by Hand and Signed by Artisan Amado Galvan. Included in the Set is: One Teapot & Lid - 7" T to Finial 7 1/2" H to S One Sugar Bowl & Lid - 6 3/4" to Finial 7" H to H One Cream Pitcher & Lid - 6 1/2" T to Finial 7" H to S Six Cups - 2 1/4" T 3 1/4" Six Saucers - 5 D All Eighteen Pieces are in Excellent Condition with no chips or cracks.

They have some areas of roughness and a few teeny negligible flakes inherent in this type of Pottery (I included a photo of the piece with the most flaking). Any white spots are glare. The Pieces are Signed on most of the bottoms by well-known Mid Century Mexican Pottery Artist'Amado Galvan' as Pictured. These pieces are Handcrafted, Artisan Made, Oxide Glazed, Double Fired, and Highly Hand Decorated. After the Pan American Highway was completed into Mexico, it was filled with American Tourists on Vacation.
