The set consists of a teapot, milk pourer, sugar bowl, 2 x cups and saucers. The pattern near the top is of a horse and carriage in an Olde Worlde village setting.Every item has gold gilding which has worn in places. Each piece is stamped on the base. There are a couple of nicks and some marks, commensurate with age, but the set is generally in very presentable condition. If it has been used, it must have been only lightly and there is no heavy staining inside.
Such a strange and impractical design, yet so compelling. A talking point, for sure. PLEASE study all photographs using the zoom function as they form a large part of the description and I may not have mentioned something that is important to you. Approx 9x9x9cm (teapot) / 12.5x12.5cm (saucers) / 6.5x6.5x6.5cm (cups) / 5.5x4x4cm (milk) / 5x5x2.5cm (sugar). Please follow us, bookmark us and check back often.New, interesting items added weekly. If you need an item within a specific timeframe, drop us a line to make sure we can do that prior to ordering. If an item you ordered is taking longer than you thought it would to reach you, always feel comfortable to send us a message to make sure the item is on it's way. In the extremely unlikely event that there is any kind of problem, do let us know so we can rectify it. We don't want anyone to leave us feeling disappointed - we've been trading online since 2002 and treat our customers as we, ourselves, would like to be treated: with respect, honesty and decency. As certain things are subjective, we tend to prefer a "say what we see" approach to the description and, if we are unsure of anything, we will make that clear.
If you spot an error in our listings, please do let us know. Information helps us get better and we'd never take offence by someone more knowledgeable getting in touch. If we state an item to be from an era (ie "Victorian"), this will be a researched decision and we will be certain that we are correct. If we aren't entirely certain, we would use quantifiers such as "Victorian-like". If we state a specific year (ie "1851"), that will be a certain decision.
Likewise with materials used (ie "Silver Plate" if stamped vs "Like Silver Plate or White Metal" if not stamped). It is a term I coined for my own eclectic tastes.Be it Victorian antiques, 70s kitsch, 50s Danish or 20s Deco, I love it all and - somehow - manage to make it work together. The one thing all my items had in common was that they were quirky - and I felt that was the thing that united them so they didn't clash on display. It dawned on me that this type of collecting - something that isn't unique to me - deserved it's own monicker. So I combined "quirky memorabilia" to come up with "Quirkabilia".

We upload multiple images so do view them all using the zoom function to take a detailed look. Most of our items are true vintage or antique, so could show signs of age and, occasionally, damage.
Whilst we do our best to notice flaws and mention them above, the images make up part of our description. If there is anything you are unsure about, or if you want further photos, please ask for them. PLEASE NOTE : We cannot provide a VAT receipt for this item.
