Rosenthal Galanterie Teapot Set 6 Tea Cups Cream Sugar Set Signed Lis Muller. This vintage Rosenthal Galanterie tea set designed by Lis Muller is decorated with hand painted transfer scenes, all with a hint of romance. The decorations are painted in pastel blue and pink with black outlines and vertical stripes. The teapot depicts a young couple dressed in their finest. The creamer is decorated with a pretty gift basket and the sugar has a young girl reading a letter. The set includes 6 demitasse tea cups with four different scenes. There are two with a lady holding an umbrella, 2 with a lady wearing a beret. One with a lady dreamily reading and one with a lady wearing a pretty pink hat. The saucers each have a different miniature scene at the right lower edge. With the exception of light wear, the set is in very good condition. Its free of chips, cracks, repairs and crazing. 5 3/4" high to the top of the finial x 6 1/2" from handle to spout. The sugar bowl is approx. 2 1/4" high x 2 1/2" wide. The cream pitcher is approx. 3 1/4" high x 3 1/4" wide from handle to spout. The demitasse size teacups are approx.

2 1/4" high x 2 1/2" wide and hold 3 ounces. Each piece of the set is marked with the Rosenthal cartouche used on European porcelain for the American market between 1925 and 1941. Distributed in the US by Rosenthal China Corporation, based in New York. The teapot and each of the six saucers are also signed by the designer, Lis Muller.
