Paul Cardew Design Madhatter's Teaparty Alice in Wonderland Teaset New in Box

  

Collectible Madhatter's Teaparty Porcelain Tea set. New in Box and never displayed.

This was made to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Alice in Wonderland. Paul Cardew's artwork is bold, beautiful and bright. 4 cups, 4 saucers, creamer, sugar bowl and lid. It is Microwave and Dishwasher Safe. Teapot Lid must be hand cleaned. Trivet back is cork lined so it would need to be hand cleaned as well. This would be a great addition to any Tea Set collection. Cups: 5 wide including the handle. Teapot: 7-1/2" tall (including lid) x 9" wide (including handle and spout).

Creamer: 6" x 4" (including handle and spout). Sugar Bowl: 3-3/4" tall (including lid) x 4" wide. Hot Plate/Trivet: 6-1/4" x 6-1/4". Condition: No cracks, breaks, chips, paint loss. I can find only 1 manufacturing flaw which I show in my picture #10.

Box has damage as shown in my picture 12. Use Zoom Feature to see condition details. Cups: I wish I hadn't cried so much! Said Alice, as she swam about trying to find her way out. (Picture of Alice and animal characters around the outside).

O Mouse, do you know the way out of this pool? Teapot: Take some more said the March Hare. This is the most curious tea party I've ever been to said Alice. (Pictures of Alice, Hare and Hatter on the Pot & Roman Numerals on the lid with a Hare finial holding a pocket watch). Creamer: Cat Grinn, Vanish Cheshire Cat, Quite Gidd (Several pictures of the Cheshire Cat).

Sugar Bowl: I'm Late, I'm Late, I'm Late, I'm Late, (11 times) on bowl & Roman Numeral Clock Dial on top of Lid. (Pictures of the March Hare on the bowl). Hot Plate/Trivet: This is the most curious teaparty, said Alice. (Picture of Madhatter having a tea party with Alice and the March Hare).
