Gorgeous antique ART DECO hand-painted TEA SET, made in Japan. 1 teapot, holds 20 ounces.

1 sugar bowl with lid. 1 creamer with lid, holds 8 ounces. 4 cups, hold 6 ounces.

Hand-painted geometric lines in bright grass green to light green, with black handles, rims, and accent trim. Solid handles on the teapot, sugar bowl and creamer. The plates and saucers have a sunburst design. Classic Art Deco design, popular in the 1920s and 1930s. Teapot, sugar and creamer lids all have ball finials.

The teapot has 8 strain holes (for loose leaf tea) at the base of the interior spout. One steam hole in the lid.

All 15 pieces marked identically: Made in Japan. Teapot also has the numbers 12871. One cup has a hairline crack The only damage! Otherwise in beautiful condition, all pieces look unused. The cups are extremely delicate; you can see light through them.
