The tea set consists of a covered teapot and (6) cups & saucers, which are not marked. Overall the teapot measures approximately 10 1/2" in length and the saucers measure 6" in diameter while the cups stand 2 1/2 tall. The overall condition of the tea set is very good, but each piece differs slightly in its condition as I will highlight. Teapot- inner rim of the teapot where the lid rests has a single small chip to its underside, spout has a 3/8chip to the left side, lid has two small flakes to the outer edge. Cups- two have hairlines that extend from the rim, one has a small chip to the foot, one has the start of a very faint short hairline (possibly a line of crazing), one has a tiny nick to the edge, and one looks good with no flaws noted.
Saucers- one has a small chip to the rim, one has a chip that was reglued into place w/part missing, two have tiny base rim flakes, one has a faint spider mark on the base, one has a tiny base rim flake and a short faint hairline. The white earthenware is still bright with some minor toning to a few pieces, and the colors are deep with nice contrast. The glaze is glossy with fine crazing, and there are light utensil marks on their surfaces. I see minimal rubbing or glaze loss to the rim.
